From traditional music featuring iconic Irish pipes, flutes, whistles and harps to some of the leading contemporary bands and performers today, the influences of Irish Music have stretched to all four corners of the world and are appreciated by a huge global audience.

Over the years, many famous bands and singers have emerged from Ireland including the mega-band U2 not to mention The Corrs, the Boomtown rats and many great individual performers such as Enya, Ronan Keating’s beloved “When you say nothing at all” and Sinead O’Connor who will long be remembered for her definitive performance of Nothing Compares 2 U.

Movie lovers who have seen The Last of Mohicans may well remember the haunting and powerful title soundtrack, but did you know the performers were Irish? The band Clannad.
